Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This position requires proficiency in various veterinary procedures and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Perform X-rays and assist with diagnostic imaging procedures
Maintain aseptic technique during surgical procedures
Assist with patient care, including handling and treatment
Perform animal catheterization and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
Handle animals with care and ensure their comfort and safety during examinations and treatments
Utilize veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal physiology to accurately document patient information
Provide animal restraint during procedures and examinations
Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis
Assist with pet care, including feeding, grooming, and exercise
Qualifications:
Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent certification preferred
Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician is required!!!
Proficiency in X-ray techniques and equipment operation
Strong knowledge of aseptic technique in surgical procedures
Experience with canine/feline care is highly desirable
Excellent animal handling skills and the ability to keep animals calm and comfortable during procedures
Familiarity with veterinary terminology and animal physiology
Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively
Proficient in conducting laboratory tests and interpreting results accurately
