Our team is made up of skilled professionals who are passionate about animal health and welfare. We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail oriented Veterinary Technician to join our growing team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory tests (ear cytologies, fecals, bloodwork, etc.) Takes medical histories and vitals Surgical prep, monitoring, and patient recovery Perform dental procedures Performs departmental housekeeping duties Taking x-rays Admits and discharges patients Prescription refills Monitors hospitalized patients Administering medication and treatments to patients Placing catheters and performing blood draws Restraining and assisting the doctor during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Animal handling and restraint skills Able to work on weekends (rotating schedule) Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Passion for animals and commitment to their well-being Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask At least 18 years of age Lift 50 lbs. to waist height Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching Strong organizational skills Foster a culture of respect
Self-motivated Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) One year related vet field experience and/or training Registered Veterinary Technicians in Texas are preferred, not required All Full Time Team Members are eligible for benefits, including: Competitive base pay plus revenue share bonus program!
