We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our privately owned, AAHA-accredited veterinary practice . We value high-quality medicine, teamwork, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of our patients and their families. LVTs or non-credentialed experienced technicians are welcome. This is a position for someone who is confident in their skills, comfortable working independently, and understands the importance of anticipating the needs of both the patients and the veterinary team. What You'll Do As a Veterinary Technician, you will play an integral role in patient care and daily hospital operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Patient Care:

Provide attentive, compassionate care to hospitalized and outpatient patients, including monitoring, treatments, nursing care, and recovery.

Veterinary Support:

Work closely with veterinarians during appointments, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures.

Medications & Treatments:

Safely prepare and administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.

Laboratory & Diagnostics:

Collect, prepare, and process laboratory samples and perform routine in-house diagnostic testing.

Anesthesia & Surgery:

Assist with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring as appropriate to your training and experience.

Patient Monitoring:

Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to the veterinarian.

Client Education:

Communicate confidently and compassionately with clients regarding medications, treatments, procedures, preventive care, and home-care instructions.

Medical Records:

Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely patient medical records.

Hospital Operations:

Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked hospital, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and other daily hospital responsibilities.

Teamwork:

Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client service team members to ensure excellent patient care and efficient workflow. What We're Looking For We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician who brings both technical competence and a strong sense of responsibility to the role.

The ideal candidate will have:

Strong knowledge of veterinary pharmaceuticals, including indications, dosing principles, routes of administration, and potential adverse effects. A solid understanding of common veterinary diseases, including clinical signs, transmission, treatment, and prevention. Proficiency in safe and effective animal restraint and handling. Experience collecting and processing laboratory samples and performing routine in-house diagnostics. Confidence with common veterinary procedures and a willingness to continue developing technical skills. Experience assisting with surgery and anesthesia is highly valued. Strong observation and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to recognize changes in a patient's condition. Excellent communication and client-education skills. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A dependable, team-oriented attitude and willingness to step in where needed. Genuine compassion for animals and a commitment to providing a high standard of veterinary care.
