Lucks Rescue Inc. is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to support our team with hands-on care for animals in our rescue program. As an assistant, you will play an essential role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the animals in our care.

Responsibilities:

Provide daily care for rescue animals, including feeding, watering, and removing waste. Maintain clean and sanitary housing (including the yard) by completing laundry duties, bathing animals, and sanitizing floors. Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting concerns to the veterinary team. Walk, train, and socialize the rescue dogs. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the transportation van before and after use. Assist with donation pickups, record inventory, and organize items in storage. Be flexible to assist with time sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Perform additional duties and assist with other tasks as directed by the supervisor to support operational needs.

Qualifications:

Experience in animal care, fieldwork, or related roles is preferred, but not required. Passion for animal welfare and the mission of Lucks Rescue Inc. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods. Able to take initiative when needed.

Shifts Available:

1st shift: 9am - 4:30pm 2nd shift: 5pm-8pm

Pay:

From $13.00 per hour
