The Town of Apache is seeking a compassionate and responsible individual for the position of Part-Time Animal Control Officer. This role involves responding to nuisance animal calls, caring for animals in the control of the Animal Control Department, and maintaining records and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and be able to work during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to nuisance animal calls or complaints in the town of Apache. Catch, trap, handle, and care for both large and small animals. Maintain accurate records for the Apache Animal Control Department. Feed, water, and care for the animals under the department's control, including during nights, weekends, and holidays. Keep pens/enclosures at the shelter and the Animal Control vehicle clean and sanitized. Maintain and clean the Animal Control vehicle and equipment. Adhere to all local ordinances, state, and federal laws related to animal control. Work directly with the
Apache Police Department Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to pass a background check and drug test. Strong ability to handle animals safely and humanely. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of animal care practices and applicable laws preferred. Valid Driver's License.
