Job Description

Mobile Paramedical Examiner - Independent Contractor (mobile/per diem) MediPro Direct is a dynamic healthcare organization providing Insurance Exams, Clinical Trials and Specialty Kit Draws. We are seeking experienced phlebotomists to perform mobile life insurance exams, with opportunities to work across all lines of service. This is an independent contractor opportunity for healthcare professionals seeking supplemental, per diem work. Assignment availability varies based on client needs and exam volume within your coverage area. Responsibilities Mobile Paramedical Examiners travel to applicants' homes, workplaces, or other agreed-upon locations to complete life insurance medical exams.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting detailed medical history interviews Obtaining blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, and other required physical measurements Performing venipuncture and collecting blood and urine specimens Centrifuging blood specimens prior to shipment Completing Long-Term Care (LTC) assessments when required Completing all required insurance exam forms accurately and thoroughly Preparing and packaging specimens for shipment to the designated laboratory Performing EKGs when ordered, if properly equipped Reviewing assigned orders and case-specific requirements Submitting required documentation upon completion of assignments Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of recent phlebotomy/venipuncture experience Strong and reliable blood-draw skills Proficiency in medical terminology Proficiency in obtaining blood pressure, pulse, and physical/biometric measurements Current phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, or other applicable certification Ability to work independently in a mobile setting Strong attention to detail and ability to complete medical documentation accurately and thoroughly Professional communication and customer service skills Strong time-management and organizational skills Proficiency using a computer and smartphone to access and manage assignments Access to a computer and printer Ability to review orders online through a secure website and scan/upload completed documentation to our system on the same day Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to applicants within an agreed-upon service area Required Equipment Examiners must have their own or have access to: Centrifuge Blood pressure cuff Stethoscope Scale Tape measure Tourniquet EKG capability is a plus. Examiners who own or have access to an EKG machine may be eligible for assignments requiring EKG services. What MediPro Direct Provides MediPro Direct provides a supportive administrative team to assist with assignments, scheduling, and case-related questions, along with ongoing training and resources to support quality, accuracy, and client-specific requirements. Independent Contractor Opportunity This is supplemental, case-based work. Assignment volume is dependent upon client needs and available cases within your coverage area. Examiners determine the geographic radius they are willing to travel and have flexibility in accepting assignments that fit their availability.
