Job Description
This is a great opportunity to join an amazing team of people and give back to your community. The Gladwin County Sheriff's Office is currently seeking dependable and motivated applicants for a Full Time Correctional Officer. This position has health insurance and includes dental and vision). Starting salary $19.24/hr. . Which includes a pension plan (20 years of service at age 55) an optional 457 retirement plan, Paid time off, and 14 paid holidays. Training, sponsorship through a Corrections Academy. (Successful completion of a Corrections academy can be applied towards college credit) Skillset required: good communication skills (written and oral), ability to work with others, multitask and computer skills. A High School diploma or GED and a valid Driver's License are required for employment. Applicants must be able to work varying shifts to include weekends and holidays.
