Braille Transcriptionist CBS Therapy is currently seeking a Braille Transcriptionist for a Full-Time placement! Our full-time employees are eligible for fortune 500 benefits and PTO! Basic Functions Transcribe print educational materials into Braille Collaborate with Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) Ensure equal curriculum access for blind and low-vision students Requirements Library of Congress (LOC) Braille Transcriber Certification or Unified English Braille (UEB) Certification Proficiency with Braille translation software and embossing equipment Responsibilities Convert print textbooks, worksheets, tests, and classroom handouts into accurate Braille formats Utilize specialized braille translation software and operate embossers to produce high-quality tactile and written materials Review and proofread all transcribed text thoroughly to ensure accuracy, formatting consistency, and readability Meet regularly with special education staff, TVIs, and general education teachers to coordinate material timelines and address specific student needs Collaborate with the educational team to ensure adapted materials align with the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and academic curriculum Maintain organized production schedules to ensure timely delivery of accessible materials to the classroom setting #CBS123
Pay:
Up to $72.00 per hour
