College of Social Work Work Location Lexington, KY Salary Range $16.50 - $18.50/hour Type of Position Student Position Time Status Part-Time Required Education pursuing a BS or BA in criminal justice at the standing of Junior or Senior at the University of Kentucky, or currently enrolled as a student in the MS in Criminal Justice program at the University of Kentucky Required Related Experience interest in criminal justice research; successfully completed first semester of study Required License/Registration/Certification N/A Physical Requirements Repetitive motion typical of desk work (typing, sitting, bending, twisting, prolonged screen exposure); Lifting, pushing, pulling objects up to 20 lbs Shift Up to 20 hours per week; Flexible Shift Job Summary The Director of Criminal Justice Programs is looking for a student worker for the Fall 2026 semester. The successful candidate will be assigned to the Criminal Justice faculty to assist with research. Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Art in criminal justice at the standing of Junior or Senior at the University of Kentucky, or be currently enrolled as a student in the Master of Science in Criminal Justice program at the University of Kentucky. Applicants must also have a keen interest in criminal justice research and have successfully completed their first semester of study. They will be responsible for assisting with the collection and analysis of data, compiling relevant literature, as well as other administrative tasks related to specific Criminal Justice projects. Undergraduate pay rate is $16.50 per hour; first year Masters pay rate is $18.50.
