Summary:
Provides care and assessment for patients identified as interpersonal violence victims at Summa Health System. Provides timely sample collection, accurate chart documentation, and photo documentation of all cases. Participates in other professional activities and services as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
1.
Formal Education Required:
a. Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required, BSN preferred b. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) c. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio d. Obtain SANE training with in the first 6 months of hire and work on required hours to sit for SANE-A certification examination. e. Forensic training preferred. f. Forensic photography training preferred. g. SANE-A certification preferred. 2.
Experience & Training Required:
a. Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing which may include experience with victims of trauma, abuse, psychological disorders and/or addictive behavior. 3.

a. Demonstrates ability to exercise appropriate judgment and confidentiality with regards to administrative and clinical duties b. Ability to work well within a team environment while assuming a collegial relationship and offering constructive feedback; supporting team goals; supporting and encouraging team members; collaborating with all health care team members to problem solve, consolidate work, reduce costs and accomplish the objectives of the department. c. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external publics and groups. d. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others to institute change. e. Ability to assess, implement and direct effective and appropriate nursing practice in forensic nursing. f.

Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
