JOB SUMMARY

: This position will be a part of Law Enforcement and will compile, categorize, and store evidence from body cameras, site incidents, and accidents, etc. The position will need to have information technology experience in order to establish law enforcement technical capabilities and compatibility between computers and weapons. This position bridges information technology with law enforcement and judicial operations, ensuring the integrity, security, and chain of custody for all digital evidence, body worn camera data, and other documents. Forensics evidence and training is required. Other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Evidence & Body Worn Camera (BWC) Management. Establish software and cloud procedures to accurately download data provided from BWC by each officer. Oversee the ingestion, cataloging, sorting, redaction, and long-term storage of body worn camera video and other digital media. Law Enforcement Technology & Forensics. Develop, analyze, and prepare standard operating procedures for evidence tracking and classification. Develop new forensics processes to be used by officers. IT Support. Assist in establishing equipment interface between Law Enforcement and the Courts. Establish a digital framework for future investigations and dispatch services. Troubleshoot any technology issues resulting from information technology problems as needed. All other duties assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Forensics, or a closely related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of professional IT experience with at least 2 years specializing in digital forensics, electronic discovery, or law enforcement technology systems.

Technical Skills:

Advanced knowledge of cloud evidence ecosystems, digital forensic tools, and Criminal Justice Information Services compliance. Must have the ability to interact with team personnel in a professional manner and possess clear writing and communication skills.

Proficient in computers:

utilizing Microsoft applications, i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.

REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver's License and be insurable under the Kiowa Tribes motor vehicle policy. Must pass a vigorous FBI/criminal background check and drug screening. Submit CDIB for Kiowa Tribal preference and Native American preference to apply in accordance with HR policies. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality Travel is sometimes required for training and off-site meetings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Typical office work, requires prolonged periods sitting and working at a computer. Working extra hours is sometimes required to meet suspenses Physical demands ( climbing, squatting, lifting) may be required when setting up evidence software and evidence safe requirements.
