BASIC PURPOSE

The Testing Center Specialist is an integral member of the Academic Support team, with a primary role of providing support for students in the area of placement and course testing by scheduling, administering, and proctoring tests. Additional testing services responsibilities include data entry of testing exemptions. The Part Time Testing Center Specialist will also provide back-up support to Library and Tutorial Services front line services, as needed. This position is based out of the Pottstown campus and is 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9am to 2pm. This position requires the PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Check, and FBI Fingerprints to be submitted before the first day of employment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support students and faculty with their testing needs. Make appointments for testing, administer and proctor tests and facilitate the return of tests to faculty ensuring strict confidentiality. Complete and maintain proctor trainings and certifications. Process transcripts for placement and testing exemptions Assist with Library circulation desk and Tutorial Services front-line services as needed. Performs related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Education/Training/Work Experience:

High School diploma or GED required with 2 years work related experience required OR
Associate's degree may be preferred
Proficiency in computer skills
Excellent communication, both written and oral
Excellent customer service skills

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

Knowledge of appointment scheduling software and data processing
Customer service experience
