The City of South Jordan Police Department is hiring a Full-Time Criminal Investigative Analyst to support criminal investigations through intelligence analysis, digital evidence review, research, and information sharing.

What You'll Do:

Analyze criminal intelligence from police reports, criminal databases, social media, intelligence centers, and other authorized sources Identify trends, patterns, associations, and investigative leads that support criminal investigations and crime prevention efforts Prepare intelligence reports, summaries, analytical products, and briefings for detectives, officers, supervisors, prosecutors, and partner agencies Perform digital forensic downloads and review digital evidence in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and investigative procedures Maintain and audit law-enforcement databases and help ensure appropriate access and use Provide training and updates on database use, intelligence resources, legislative changes, and investigative procedures Coordinate with law-enforcement and intelligence partners to exchange authorized information and support investigations Maintain confidential records and sensitive criminal-justice information while ensuring information is shared only with authorized individuals

Qualifications:
