We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences who are committed to excellence in education. Master's degree in criminal justice or a minimum of 18 graduate hours in criminal justice. Master's degree in criminal justice from an accredited institution and at least 7 years of related field experience in law enforcement. Field experience should include carrying firearms, investigating violations of state or federal criminal statutes, making arrests for criminal violations, and executing warrants. Previous post-secondary teaching experience, including online and in-person, is preferred. SCCJA Basic Instructor Development (BID) certification or the equivalent out-of-state certification may be considered. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree alone is not sufficient for this position. Experience in regulatory, administrative, intelligence, civil, or other related duties that did not involve exercising criminal law enforcement authority and conducting criminal investigative or enforcement activities in the field does not meet the required professional experience.
