JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the school administrative team, monitor hallways and lunchroom to support student behavior and compliance with school policies. Interact positively with students and provide redirection and behavioral support as needed. Please note that this position is grant funded and renewal will be conducted on a year-by-year basis.
Essential Functions:
Utilize the school's PBIS/ Behavior Support model to support student safety and behavior concerns in the hallways, restrooms, and in the cafeteria. Interact positively with students to assist them with meeting established school-wide expectations, rules, and procedures, providing corrective feedback when necessary. Communicate with building administrators regarding students who are not in compliance with school expectations and rules. Participate in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars for the purpose of conveying or gathering information required to perform functions. Communicate effectively in written and verbal forms. Utilize student information systems and pass system software.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Education and Experience:
Completion of a high school diploma. Experience in customer service or education preferred. First Aid/ CPR certification preferred.
Abilities:
Ability to learn, understand, apply, and communicate school protocols, procedures, and rules. Ability to maintain a positive and professional affect while interacting with staff and students. Ability to independently carry out oral and written directions. Use good judgement in recognizing the scope of authority as delegated. Communicate effectively in verbal and written form. Non-exempt, 36.5 hours weekly
