Goodrich Area Schools Lunchroom Recess Aide Position Summary:
The Lunchroom Aide is responsible for ensuring the safety of students in the lunchroom while encouraging appropriate conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Previous work with school age students preferred. Must be able to relate well to elementary students, school personnel and the general public. Must be able perform job responsibilities as listed below.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Transport students to and from cafeteria. Provide and model directions for students on proper cafeteria manners. Handle the transport and if necessary, administration of emergency medications. Ensure cafeteria is a safe environment. Be able to handle student disputes and concerns. Work in cooperation with the principal. Follow all program and district rules, policies and procedures. Maintain professional attitude and loyalty to the school. Treat each individual with respect and dignity. Complete other duties as assigned by the principal.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed at Elementary level facilities of the district. There is limited exposure to physical risk.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
10:50 am - 1:20 pm, 5 days per week; student days only.
COMPENSATION
Contracted through GECS. $18.50 / hour. Paid sick, holiday and snow days.
