Job Description

In this vital role, you will oversee student behavior, ensure safety protocols are followed, and assist with daily school operations. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will contribute to a positive school climate that fosters learning and growth for all students. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in education and child development. Duties Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-classroom activities to promote safety and positive behavior. Enforce school policies and rules consistently while managing student conduct with patience and confidence. Assist with behavior management strategies for students with special needs or behavioral challenges. Support classroom teachers by monitoring student activities, ensuring adherence to safety procedures, and assisting with classroom routines. Implement evacuation procedures and emergency response protocols in coordination with school staff to ensure student safety during drills or real emergencies. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, or camp settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of special education needs, behavior management techniques, and classroom experience is preferred. Familiarity with school policies related to safety, evacuation procedures, and student conduct is advantageous. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with students, staff, parents, and emergency responders. Certification or training in first aid and conflict management enhances your ability to respond confidently in various situations.
