Job Description

Under general supervision, crossing guards will lawfully stop traffic using appropriate signs and equipment, serviceable to traffic flow and safely assisting pedestrians/children across the street. All crossing guards are expected to instruct when appropriate, correct safety habits to drivers and/or children whom they come in contact with.

Qualifications:

Must be a graduate of a standard senior high school or equivalent. Must be in good physical condition, including sight and hearing. Must possess or be able to obtain a Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certificate. Ability to judge time and distance in relationship to approaching traffic.
