Job Description

Join the City of South Jordan as a Crossing Guard! Are you passionate about keeping children safe? Do you want to make a meaningful impact in your community? The City of South Jordan is hiring Crossing Guards to assist children and pedestrians at designated school crossings.

What You'll Do:

Ensure safe crossing for children on their way to and from school Monitor traffic conditions and determine the best times for crossing Set up and remove warning cones to mark school crossing zones Educate children on traffic safety rules and proper crossing procedures Report crossing violations and safety concerns to supervisors Communicate with parents, school staff, and law enforcement as needed Work outdoors in various weather conditions , ensuring safety at all times
