The Trevor-Wilmot Consolidated Grade School District is located in Southeast Wisconsin and serves approximately 455 students in the Trevor-Wilmot communities from grades 4K through 8th. Our mission is to have "every student learning, growing, thriving" and our vision is to have "a united community of lifelong learners empowered for the future The Trevor-Wilmot Consolidated School District is looking for a part-time Student Supervisor/School Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will help provide support during lunch and recess, assist teachers with students and project work for the classroom . Duties and Responsibilities of the
Job:
Student Supervisor/School Aide:
Ability to work effectively with teachers, supervisors, and peers. Ability to maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Ability to follow written and oral instructions Supervision of students in the cafeteria during lunch and on the playground during recess. Must be willing and able to support student's developmental and social needs, acknowledge positive behavior, redirect without conflict and apply restorative responses when needed in both the cafeteria and recess areas (gym or outside). You will also be expected to interact with all students in various ways Learn, understand and apply school systems involved with efficient lunch time operations Encourage prosocial behavior Serve as an appropriate model to the children Attend staff meetings Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the children, their families, and volunteers: ensure that all feel welcome.
Skill & Qualifications:
Learn and understand the school systems involved in efficient lunch and recess time operations Be caring, patient, and understanding of children Implement the stewardship of the cafeteria Time-management and multitasking abilities Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Work is generally active, requiring routine walking, standing, bending. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Hours:
10:30 am to 1:30 pm
