Job Description

Blue Grass Metals is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Documentation Specialist to join our wire forming manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will oversee the creation, review, and maintenance of quality documentation, compliance and administrative support to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure our manufacturing operations meet quality standards. The Blue Grass Team is an employee owned operation who runs primarily Monday through Friday, serving the automotive industry. Responsibilities Coordinate and maintain documentation for APQP, PPAP, and customer-specific requirements. Create, revise, distribute, and control work instructions, procedures, forms, and other controlled documents. Maintain ISO 9001 and/or
IATF 16949
quality management system documentation. Track and maintain 8D corrective action reports and ensure documentation is complete and current. Coordinate IMDS submissions and maintain material compliance records. Maintain Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and related quality documentation. Compile and maintain process capability (Cp/Cpk) and capacity study records. Coordinate document control activities, including revisions, approvals, distribution, and archival. Support internal, customer, and third-party audits by preparing documentation and maintaining audit records. Manage document revisions, engineering change documentation, and document control activities. Maintain employee training records, competency matrices, and training documentation. Ensure quality records are complete, accurate, and retained in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements. Provide administrative support to Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams regarding quality documentation. Qualifications Understanding of Quality Management Systems, APQP, PPAP, 8D Corrective Actions, IMDS, ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 & Document Control. Good understanding of manufacturing environment and associated processes within the Automotive Industry. Ability to communicate both upward and downward effectively and professionally both in writing and verbally. Good skills in understanding root cause analysis and able to generate team atmosphere in solving issues. Able to negotiate on behalf of the company to limit exposure and cost as practical as possible. Good skills with documenting processes and technical documents. Good understanding in the use of Microsoft office. Proven Experience with creation of Work Instructions, SOP Development, Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA & Control Plans. Experience conducting Internal / External Audits. Training Records Management experience. Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) ERP/MRP and document management systems (if applicable).
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
