Quality Job Purpose:
To help monitor, inspect, and propose measures to correct or improve any steps in the production of finished products at Nutrastrips in order to meet established quality standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Report to the Quality Director or designated Quality Supervisor. Check that all raw materials, components, labels etc. that are involved in the production process are of suitable quality and approved for use. Help with the process of receiving, sampling, testing, approving and/or rejecting of raw materials, components, finished products etc. when needed. Inspect production equipment and employees to make sure the production process is running smoothly. Inspect employees working in production are following appropriate procedures and protocols. Verify all quality checkpoints in the MMRs, sign when in compliance or investigate if needed. Help train new employees and/or current employees in any aspect of the production process when needed. Participate in all Quality Management Systems programs, including investigations, CAPAs, non-conformances, and audits when needed. Assist in the development of process monitoring systems to reduce process variation when needed. Assist with internal quality/process audits to assess compliance to regulations and the internal Quality Management System. Create reports to be reviewed by the Quality Director or Quality Supervisor. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
1 year of demonstrated experience in quality assurance within the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and able to understand LIMS and Citrix systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail.
Effective communication, collaboration, and writing skills to work across departments.
Ability to communicate at all levels (technical and non-technical); verbally and written.
Be organized and be able to prioritize tasks based on business needs.
Team contributor with growth mindset.
Ability to quickly adapt and act to business needs.
Able to execute quality processes while meeting timelines.
Able to perform QA processes as needed.
Able to work interdependently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid understanding of cGMPs.
Proficiency in utilizing quality assurance tools, methodologies, and statistical analysis.
Experience with inspections and investigations
Experience in training other employees
Working Conditions:
40 hours per week (primarily 9am-5pm Monday to Friday), Occasionally needing to lift 30-50lbs, Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
