The APL will be responsible for driving growth in the Solids/Energy practice to advance the Southeast Area's strategic goals. The APL will be responsible for understanding the unique trends in the area and using that knowledge to create technical differentiation from our competitors while serving as an important conduit between the National Practice Leaders, Specialty Leaders, and the practice staff in the Business Unit. In this position, you will help win and deliver wastewater and solids/energy projects in the Southeast and will be part of the Biosolids/Energy Practice's leadership team. Specific Southeast wastewater and solids/energy roles and responsibilities will be determined by alignment of strategic needs and candidate strengths but would likely include acting as a project manager for WWTP projects, client service manager (CSM) for new strategic clients, and/or sales leader for strategic pursuits. Responsibilities Provide technical expertise and leadership on complex and high impact environmental engineering projects.\nDevelop and approve advanced engineering analyses, designs, and strategic recommendations.\nInfluence technical approaches, standards, and methodologies across projects and programs.\nLead development of complex, multi disciplinary environmental management and infrastructure solutions.\nProvide expert technical guidance during regulatory negotiations, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.\nFlexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs. Mentorship Provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles. Skills and Competencies Recognized expertise in environmental engineering and related regulatory environments\nStrategic and systems level problem solving skills\nAbility to influence technical decisions with significant organizational impact.\nStrong leadership, communication, and advisory capabilities. Experience Typically, a minimum of 15 years of related work experience in Environmental Engineering or related field. Preferred Experience B.S. degree in Civil, Chemical, Sanitary, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering required; MS degree preferred.\nExperience in municipal engineering and consulting\nDemonstrated experience in the planning, design and construction of biosolids projects\nDemonstrated knowledge of biosolids regulations and current issues surrounding PFAS preferred\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports and documents\nUnderstanding of regulatory compliance and permitting\nStrong project or task management skills\nSuccessful marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and public presentations experience\nExcellent technical writing and communication skills required.\nProficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, Project, Excel and PowerPoint is required.\nValid driver's license and good driving record may be required Education A bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related field is required.\nLicensure as a professional engineer is required.

Salary Range:

Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and maybemore or lessdependingupon skills, experience,and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
