Position Overview:
As an Environmental Technician, you'll ensure fuel facilities meet the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance. This full-time, field-based role includes maintaining regulatory standards across multiple locations, conducting inspections, and offering on-call spill response support. Some office work will also be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform monthly inspections to ensure equipment complies with NYS DEC, EPA, and company standards. Conduct operations and maintenance checks on spill prevention and fuel equipment. Track and record monthly cathodic protection readings. Schedule repairs or replacements for equipment not meeting regulatory standards. Review inspections, address environmental concerns promptly, and ensure compliance across sites. Provide on-call 24-hour support for spill response and advise customers on compliance procedures. Communicate effectively with team members and customers, troubleshooting technical issues when necessary. Potential for traveling to customers across NYS which would require overnight stays.

What We're Looking For:
A self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for safety and environmental compliance. Technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in various weather conditions, and travel to multiple locations. Valid NYS Driver's License, with
HAZWOPER
