Job Description

SRB on type 5 and 6 engines. Looking to mobilize crews ASAP. Will cover half of travel costs. Have temp housing. Also looking to offer employment after fire season. Engine boss pay starting $950/ day depending on experience. Seeking certified engine boss to lead wildland fire suppression operations for the current fire season. This role is responsible for the safe and effective operation of a fire engine crew coordinating suppression efforts and ensuring compliance with all the safety protocol on the fire line.

Qualifications:

NWCG Engine Boss Certification, Current NWCG Red Card, Valid Drivers license. Ability to pass arduous-duty physical fitness text (pack test)

Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct engine crew during initial attack and extended fire operations. Operate and maintain wildland, fire engine and associated equipment. Ensure crew safety and adherence to NWCG standards. Communicate with incident command and coordinate with other resources. Temporary housing available.
