Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
FAA Repair Station Compliance
Serve as Chief Inspector for the FAA Part 145 Repair Station.
Ensure full compliance with 14 CFR Part 145, Part 43, and applicable FAA regulations.
Support the repair station relocation and facility transition while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Coordinate with the FAA Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) regarding certificate oversight, inspections, and regulatory approvals.
Quality System Oversight
Maintain and update repair station manuals including:
Repair Station Manual (RSM)
Quality Control Manual (QCM)
Training Manual
Capability List
Ensure manuals and procedures remain current and compliant with FAA requirements.
Maintain repair station personnel rosters, qualifications, and training records.
Inspection Leadership
Supervise and mentor inspection personnel.
Ensure inspection activities meet regulatory and customer requirements including:
Incoming inspection
In-process inspection
Final inspection
Airworthiness release documentation
Ensure proper traceability and certification records are maintained for all articles.
Audits & Compliance
Host and support audits from:
FAA
Customers
Regulatory agencies
Lead root cause investigations and corrective action programs.
Maintain internal audit processes to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
Supplier & Customer Quality
Conduct supplier quality surveillance and vendor qualification.
Support technical discussions with airline and MRO customers regarding quality and compliance.
Ensure reporting of serious defects or unairworthy conditions in accordance with FAA procedures.
Equipment & Calibration
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment.
Maintain calibration records and measurement integrity.
Continuous Improvement
Support process improvements across repair operations.
Provide technical guidance to operations, engineering, and inspection teams.
Requirements
Qualifications Required
Minimum 5 years' experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment
Strong working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 and Part 43
Experience with repair station manuals, FAA audits, and regulatory compliance programs
Experience supervising inspection personnel
Preferred
Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
Repairman Certificate or Inspection Authorization (IA)
Previous experience serving as Chief Inspector or Quality Manager
Experience with AS9100 or aerospace quality systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and component maintenance manuals

Position Summary
T-Aerospace LLC is an FAA Part 145 Repair Station relocating operations to the Knoxville, Tennessee area and is seeking an experienced Chief Inspector to oversee inspection functions and regulatory compliance.
The Chief Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance, repair, and inspection activities comply with 14 CFR Part 145, Part 43, and approved technical data, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and airworthiness.
This position will lead all inspection activities, maintain the repair station quality system, support FAA oversight, and ensure proper certification of articles returned to service.
The role will also support the repair station facility relocation and operational transition while maintaining regulatory continuity.
