The Town of Montville has an immediate opening for a full-time, Career Firefighter/EMT. This is a union position, and all hours, terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the IAFF Montville Firefighters Association - Local 3386 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). •Firefighter's work a 24/72 work schedule as defined by the CBA and the Town of Montville.

Minimum Qualifications:

CT Certified Firefighter Level II, Emergency Medical Technician B with EMS transport experience, CT certified Hazardous material operational level, CT Driver's License with Q endorsement or CDL, Current CPAT Card (Candidate Physical Agility Test) within the last 2 years or lateral transfer from another Career Firefighter/EMT position.

Experience:

Minimum three years' of EMS transport experience.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of modern fire apparatus, codes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to fire safety. Ability to fight fires and assist in emergency lifesaving procedures.
