Candidates passing written test (score of 70% or more) will be required to provide proof of a current and successful Tri-C Physical Agility Test and must also possess State of Ohio Certification for Fire Fighter I & II and Paramedic prior to consideration for employment.

Extra Credit:

Veterans

10 points . Veterans must verify military service by presenting Dept. of Defense Form-DD214 and proof of honorable discharge. Veterans who served more than 180 days active duty other than for training purposes and have been honorably discharged will be eligible for the credit. Current part-time firefighter/paramedic with the City of Brooklyn, Ohio
1 point for every 3 (three) months of continuous service.

Total not to exceed 10 (ten) points. Eligible candidates' employment records will be verified and confirmed with the city of Brooklyn, Ohio Payroll Department. Extra credit will only be added to those receiving a score of 70% or higher on the written exam. Any candidate for a position in the classified service shall be disqualified for falsifying information or fraudulent conduct of any kind in connection with a Civil Service Examination.
