Yachats Rural Fire Protection District 2056 Highway 101 N, Yachats, OR 97498 541-547-3266 FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC Yachats Rural Fire Protection District (YRFPD) is establishing a list of qualified candidates for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic. YRFPD intends to hire one qualified candidate immediately following the testing/interview process. The potential to hire additional personnel from this list exists in the future.

Minimum Requirements:

Currently licensed as a Paramedic in Oregon. Preference given for one year of EMS transport experience and experience with prolonged rural transport. Current ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS certifications. Oregon DPSST-certified NFPA Firefighter I and Certified Driver, or equivalent experience. Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with staff from multiple departments and agencies. Ability to interact well with patients, district patrons, volunteer staff, and career staff while providing quality care. Starting wage is $76,000/yr ($26.1O effective hourly rate) and may be negotiable depending on experience. This position works on a 48/96 schedule, but you must be flexible for reassignment of shift position every six months until permanent shift assignment position opens. We run approximately 850 calls per year. We do run one 24/7 ambulance for 911 calls. (No interfacility transport.)
