Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(Training will be provided)
Office/Records Duties:
Daily records and precinct tasks. General receptionist and customer service responsibilities. Prepare and submit District Attorney and Midvale Court screening cases. Fulfill requests for the Midvale Prosecutors Office. Complete NCIC Entries/Clears. Monthly NCIC validations. Assist and support command staff, supervisors, officers, and detectives as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Fingerprint Duties:
Provide public fingerprinting services through the use of the LiveScan instrument, to include the collection of fees, recording data, and providing feedback to the public. Provide Department required fingerprint services to include but not limited to employment, criminal investigations, sex offender registry, and BCI access. Provide fingerprint services to other law enforcement agencies as required. Knowledge and understanding of the Henry Classification System of Fingerprints. Scanning and archiving fingerprint records. Facilitate the completion of expungement requests.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
At least 18 years of age High school diploma or
GED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to maintain an extreme level of confidentiality regarding investigative case content. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets. Professional telephone etiquette. Ability to pass UPD administered type test at 35 words per minute. Able to pass UPD comprehensive background check. Knowledge of general office procedures. Possess professional oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
