None required; personal injury experience a plus Jennifer Porter Law is a growing boutique personal injury law firm seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team on a part-time basis. We are a modern, paperless firm known for proactive case management and compassionate client service. In this role, you will be responsible for requesting, tracking, and organizing medical records and billing for our personal injury clients, and helping ensure nothing falls through the cracks as cases move toward resolution. If you are organized, dependable, and comfortable working across multiple software platforms, we'd love to meet you. Personal injury experience not required. Key Responsibilities Prepare and send medical records and billing requests to healthcare providers, hospitals, and imaging centers Track outstanding requests and proactively follow up with providers on overdue or incomplete records and verifications Upload, organize, and label medical records and bills within our cloud-based case management system Review incoming records for completeness and flag gaps or discrepancies to the case team Prepare medical chronologies and summaries to support attorney and case managers in evaluating claims Verify outstanding medical provider balances and liens at the resolution of a case Communicate professionally with medical providers and records departments via phone and email Maintain accurate, up-to-date tracking of request status across all active cases Perform basic calculations related to billing totals, balances, and lien verification Requirements Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational habits Comfort with basic math (reviewing bills, balances, and totals for accuracy) Strong comfort with technology and a willingness to learn multiple software platforms Good phone etiquette and professional written communication Ability to follow structured workflows, checklists, and deadlines Self-starter who can manage a high volume of requests without things falling through the cracks Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, positive attitude Personal injury or medical records experience a plus, but not required Work Environment Hybrid schedule based out of our Springfield office Warm, supportive, and collaborative law firm culture Flexible part-time schedule (15-30 hours/week) Benefits Competitive hourly pay Opportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding firm How to Apply Please submit your application via Indeed.
