The Sheriff's Office is dedicated to the protection and well‑being of every person in Solano County by providing excellent community service.
THE POSITIONDeputy Sheriff's provide services and protection to the public through performance of law enforcement duties. Incumbents are responsible for enforcing laws and preventing crime.
Possession of a Basic P.O.S.T Certificate.
Must possess a Basic P.O.S.T. Certificate.
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class C California driver's license is required. A valid Class B California driver's license may be required depending upon assignment.
Incumbent must be able to work in a noisy and stressful environment and may require near and far vision, exposure to communicable disease and lifting objects weighing more than 100 pounds, and full range of body movements.
Incumbents must work any shift, holidays and weekends, and anywhere in the County.
Candidates must pass a background investigation per applicable law.
Incumbents may be subject to drug and alcohol testing as required by law.
Incumbents have full peace officer powers and must meet training requirements in accordance with Penal Code 832.SELECTION PROCESSDeadline to submit application and required documents: 10/10/25 - 5:00pm (PST). Applications will be reviewed thereafter.
