Management of Police Department, including supervision of Code Enforcement and Animal Control functions. Active patrolling Minimum Requirements to submit applications: Certification in Advance Law Enforcement or higher issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education and in good standing. 10 years law enforcement experience with at least 5 years' experience at command level is preferred, but not required. Texas Driver's License. Working knowledge of the Texas Penal Code, Government Code and traffic laws required along with knowledge of the principals and practices of modern police administration and methodology is required. Experience in budgeting and staff direction preferred, but not required. High degree of administrative ability.
