Applications are now being accepted to fill a current vacancy for the position of Patrol Officer with the Lake Delton Police Department. Entry level applicants accepted and lateral applicants encouraged to apply! Lake Delton is in the heart of the Wisconsin Dells. Come work where America comes to stay and play!

Responsibilities:

General police functions including patrol; criminal law enforcement; traffic code enforcement; ordinance enforcement; maintaining public peace; protecting life and property; working with the community to address community problems; water patrol functions and other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Completion of the 720-hr LE Academy and Wisconsin Law Enforcement Board Certification; U.S. citizen; Minimum age - 21; Driver license; Good driving record; Good physical condition; High school diploma; Associate degree - Police Science/ Criminal Justice or 60 college credits; Ability to possess a firearm; No felony convictions; No domestic abuse convictions; Vision correctable to 20/20; Good verbal and written communication skills; React quickly and effectively to stressful situations; Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems; Clear and concise speech; Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously; Ability to perform essential functions of this position; Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment. Officers work 12 hr shifts with every-other weekend off. Completion of the 720-hr academy required prior to start date.

$35.72 - $47.62 per hour
