Hiring for January 2027 (Lateral, Certified and Non-Certified Officers)
Police Work in the community of Fort Collins related to the enforcement of laws and regulations, crime prevention, and the protection of life and property at the edge of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Hiring for January 2027 Fort Collins Police has their own in-house academy, only one in Northern Colorado!
Fort Collins Police Services offers competitive pay and benefits, a quality training program, a one-to-one take-home car plan, all equipment and uniform dry cleaning. New officers start with 200 hours of vacation and time-off a year. Obtain top level pay ($121,500) in 3 years or earlier. 401(a) 8.5% contribution with 11% City contribution. 457 Deferred Compensation with 3% City Match. Paid to attend Fort Collins Police Academy. New multi-million-dollar training facility, Northern Colorado Law Enforcement Training Center (NCLETC).
Age:
Must be 21 years old
Education:
Must meet minimum of 60 semester hours from accredited college or university by hire date. 30 semester hour waiver available for Active Duty military and/or Lateral Officer with 3 years in armed forces or at current agency.
Experience:
No prior law enforcement experience needed
Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must have the ability to read, speak, and understand English.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or a lawful, permanent U.S. resident
Must have 20/20 vision or vision correctable to 20/20, and are required to have adequate field, night, peripheral, distance and color vision to perform the essential job functions of a police officer.
Must have hearing sufficient to perform the essential job functions of a police office.
Must meet all minimum physical, medical, and mental standards to perform the essential job functions of a police officer with or without reasonable accommodations.

$110,734 Lateral Transfer
$121,500 Top Pay (reached in approximately 3 years)
