Part-Time Police Officers Village of McCullom Lake Police Department The Village of McCullom Lake Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants for Part-Time Police Officer positions. Shifts vary from 8, 10, to 12 hours Two weekend shifts a month is mandatory This opportunity is ideal for recently retired officers or individuals seeking a slower-paced, community-oriented law enforcement role.

Job Duties:

Respond to calls for service Enforcing traffic, criminal laws, and local ordinances Effecting arrests Community policing Complete reports as needed Handle traffic crashes Attend court as needed Assist surrounding agencies as needed Handle any and all other duties assigned Candidates selected must first meet all the following criteria: 21 years of age High school graduate (or equivalent) Valid Driver's License Valid Illinois Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card Must have no felony convictions and be of good moral character as described in State Statute 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6. Mentally and physically able to perform the tasks of the job Able to pass a drug screening Must have successfully completed an Illinois Basic Law Enforcement Training course or another program approved for a waiver by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board If you're looking to continue making a difference in law enforcement without the fast pace of larger jurisdictions, we encourage you to apply.
