Description Our client is looking for a Litigation Attorney to join their firm in Napa! This permanent opportunity is ideal for a licensed attorney who is ready to take ownership of a varied caseload spanning civil disputes and construction-related matters while working closely with a collaborative legal team. The role offers meaningful client exposure, hands-on litigation responsibility, and the chance to contribute across multiple phases of case strategy and execution.
Responsibilities:
Manage litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution, maintaining momentum across each stage of the legal process.
Prepare well-supported pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings that advance client objectives and meet procedural requirements.
Conduct thorough legal research and apply findings to case strategy, written arguments, and client advisement.
Oversee written discovery, evaluate responses, and develop approaches for fact gathering and case development.
Handle matters involving civil litigation and construction-related disputes with sound judgment and attention to detail.
Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to coordinate filings, deadlines, and overall case progression.
Communicate with clients regarding case developments, legal options, and recommended next steps.
Maintain a monthly billable workload expectation of 130 hours while delivering high-quality legal work. Requirements
Active license to practice law and good standing with the applicable state bar.
At least 3 years of experience handling litigation matters as a practicing attorney.
Demonstrated background in civil litigation, including motion practice and case development.
Experience drafting motions, briefs, and discovery materials with strong written advocacy skills.
Familiarity with construction litigation or construction law matters.
Ability to manage multiple active cases independently while meeting deadlines and billing expectations.
Strong legal research, analytical thinking, and client communication skills.
