Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Attorney with 0-4 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will handle a steady caseload of insurance defense and general civil litigation matters. You will work closely with our partners to conduct thorough investigations, develop litigation strategies, and deliver practical solutions that minimize exposure for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of insurance defense and general civil litigation files from inception to resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda. Conduct legal research and provide early evaluation of liability and damages. Attend court appearances, hearings, and depositions. Resolve matters through dispositive motions, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and trial. Maintain proactive and transparent communication with clients, claims professionals, and adjusters.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice in Connecticut, or awaiting admission. 0-4 years of litigation experience (insurance defense experience is a plus, but we are willing to work with the right candidate). Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills. Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary:

$85,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience).

Billable Hours:

1,850 billable hours per year, with bonus eligibility.
