Trusts and Estate and Business Law Paralegal Klitzman Law Group, PLLC Sunrise, FL Job Details Part-time 1 hour ago Qualifications Estate administration Microsoft Outlook Calendar management Probate process support Certified Notary Public Legal case management Estate planning Time management Full Job Description Job Overview Experienced Paralegal - Estate Planning, Probate, and Business Law (M & A) for Boutique Law Firm in Sunrise, Florida (primarily remote; occasional in-person meetings as needed) to provide part-time, project based work, primarily remote support to our estate planning, probate, and mergers & acquisitions practice. Ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can work independently and communicate clearly with attorneys, clients, and third parties. On-site work may be required for signings, closings or meetings.
Key Responsibilities Estate Planning:
Coordinate client intake, asset information, and drafting workflows; manage execution packages, witnessing/notarization logistics, and binder/portfolio preparation.
Probate:
Facilitate drafting of petitions, notices, inventories, accountings, and related probate filings in Florida courts; handle e-filing (Florida Courts E-Filing Portal), track deadlines, and manage service lists; coordinate with personal representatives, creditors, and court staff; maintain docket and calendars.
Mergers & Acquisitions:
Assist with due diligence (corporate records, contracts, cap tables), data room organization, and issue tracking; prepare closing checklists, schedules, officer certificates, and resolutions; coordinate signatures (including e-sign), assemble closing sets, and manage post-closing deliveries.
General:
Maintain organized files and checklists; ensure version control and quality assurance; communicate with clients and counterparties professionally and promptly; support attorney billable time capture and task tracking. Qualifications 5+ years of paralegal experience with direct exposure to estate planning and probate; M&A or corporate transactions experience required; Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), PDF tools, and e-sign platforms; experience with document management systems is preferred; Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and written/verbal communication skills; ability to work independently in a remote environment with reliable internet and secure work practices; Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) or NALA certification preferred; Florida Notary a plus.
Schedule and Compensation Part-time:
approximately 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility during business hours; ability to accommodate deadline-driven work; compensation commensurate with experience; 1099 or W-2 arrangements can be discussed.
