Duties include but not limited to: Maintaining well organized files, preparing discovery, assisting attorneys with trial preparation etc. Provide case management services to victims of crime, including assessment, advocacy, referrals, follow-up, and coordination of services. Provide direct services to crime victims in accordance with Missouri Department of Social Services Standards, applicable program requirements, and statutory requirements listed in
RSMO 529.209.
Answering phones, greeting individuals, and answering general questions. Accurate and efficient data entry of court information into case management system. E-file motions, responses, letters, and other legal court related documents on behalf of the prosecuting attorney. Provide case management services to victims of crimes. Interact daily with other courthouse departments, personnel, and law enforcement agencies. Provides coverage for peers as requested. Scanning, copying, filing, and other general office support duties. Successful candidates will have the following qualifications: Punctual & reliable attendance demonstrated at recent employer or educational institution. Excellent secretarial skills, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Word, Outlook, Windows applications, Internet skills etc.) Be deadline oriented, attentive to detail, and possess outstanding organizational skills. Experience is preferred in the fields of knowledge in case management, victimization issues, and the criminal justice system. Professional attitude and demeanor on the phone and in the office. Motivated and able to work independently without constant supervision. Must be able to follow instructions, guidelines, and office procedures. Hold a minimum of a high school degree with an established resume or an associate degree in legal studies. Prior legal experience not required but is a plus. Other duties as assigned.
