This role is well suited for a lawyer who enjoys managing sophisticated business disputes, contributing meaningfully to case strategy, and working closely with colleagues in a collaborative setting. The position offers substantial client-facing responsibility and the opportunity to build hands-on courtroom and litigation experience in a fast-moving practice.
Responsibilities:
Represent businesses and other clients in commercial litigation matters involving complex corporate and contractual disputes. Prepare and refine key litigation documents, including complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and related court filings. Manage all phases of discovery, including written discovery, document review, and electronic discovery coordination. Conduct legal research and develop case strategies supported by clear, persuasive written analysis. Participate in depositions, hearings, and court appearances as needed, while assisting with broader trial preparation efforts. Work directly with clients and internal team members to evaluate risks, address legal issues, and move matters forward efficiently. Balance multiple active cases in a deadline-driven environment while exercising sound judgment and practical problem-solving skills. Licensed attorney with admission to the New Hampshire Bar. At least 1 year of experience in litigation, with commercial or corporate dispute experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation-related documents. Working knowledge of discovery practice, including experience with document production and e-discovery processes. Strong legal research, analytical thinking, and detail-oriented writing skills. Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with clients, attorneys, and support staff. Self-directed, highly motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
