Full Job Description Associate Attorney Location:
Barrington, Rhode Island Salary Range:
$75,000 - $85,000 (based on experience)

Full-Time We are a busy and established collections firm based in Barrington, Rhode Island. Our firm practices in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire Rhode Island and Vermont. We are seeking an Associate Attorney with collections experience to join our growing team license to practice in at least two of the states we serve. Remote work opportunities may be available. Recent graduates and bar takers waiting for their results, please do not hesitate to apply we are welcome and open to taking on new attorneys. Responsibilities include but not limited to Manage a caseload of collection matters from inception through resolution Represent our clients at court hearings, including motions, trials, and debtor examinations Handle post-judgment collection efforts including executions and garnishments Negotiate settlements and payment arrangements with debtors and opposing counsel Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents Ensure compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and state collection laws Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active membership in good standing with at least two of the states we serve (or ability to waive in) 1-3 years of litigation experience (collection law experience preferred but not required) We Offer Competitive starting salary commensurate with experience ($75,000 - $100,000) Hybrid work schedule with remote flexibility $401K Medical, Dental and Vision plans for both singles and families Paid vacation, holidays and personal days Opportunity to practice across multiple jurisdictions
