Available Benefits Help for . The Chambers County District Attorney has an opening for a Felony Prosecutor which will be available immediately. Duties include carrying a full caseload, handling all aspects of felony prosecution from initial screening through trial. Prospective applicants should be able to handle an active criminal docket with minimal supervision. Special consideration will be given to applicants interested in prosecuting family violence and sexual assault cases.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited law school, currently licensed to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
Experience in criminal law with first chair felony trial experience preferred, but we will consider a recent law school graduate with significant internship experience in a District Attorneys Office.
Felony trial experience should include trials covering a broad range of felony offenses.
Applicant must be a team player who can work well in a small office and must be able to work well with law enforcement.
Must be familiar with the criminal justice system and have the ability to work within all components.
Must have a demonstrated history of community involvement.
Special consideration will be given to applicants interested in prosecuting family violence and sexual assault cases.
Workweek:
Monday•Friday; Day shift.
