Associate Attorney- Insurance Defense Everforth - 3.6 Port Aransas, TX Job Details Full-time 2 days ago Qualifications Customer communication Doctor of Law (JD) Bar Full Job Description Associate Attorney- Insurance Defense Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our Civil Litigation team. The ideal candidate will assist in handling various civil litigation matters, providing comprehensive legal services while ensuring adherence to ethical standards and professional responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and review of pleadings, motions, and briefs. Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents related to civil litigation cases. Participate in discovery processes, including drafting and responding to interrogatories and requests for production. Attend depositions, mediations, and court hearings as necessary. Collaborate with senior attorneys in litigation planning and strategy development. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Provide oral advocacy in hearings and other legal proceedings. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active state bar membership. 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in insurance coverage defense. Strong understanding of civil litigation processes and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines. Demonstrated skills in legal research and analysis. Proficiency in legal drafting and oral advocacy. For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
