Family Law Litigation Attorney Seeking to employ either a newly licensed attorney or an experienced attorney to join a continuously growing law firm. We primarily focus our efforts on small-estate family matters and criminal defense.

You also fit our core values well: We do the right thing simply because it's right We intentionally extend good to others We go above and beyond for the good of the team We demand excellence You will join as our Family Law Litigation Attorney , representing clients in court on family law matters — divorce, custody, child support, modifications, enforcement, and related proceedings. This role requires regular court appearances, hearings, and trial work, and is based out of our office, with travel to courthouses as needed.
Core Responsibilities:
Represent clients in hearings, trials, and other court proceedings on family law matters Develop and execute case strategy from intake through resolution or trial Conduct and defend depositions Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other court filings Prepare and present evidence, examine and cross-examine witnesses at hearings and trial Draft and respond to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission Review, organize, and analyze discovery documents; prepare and manage privilege logs Draft and respond to subpoenas Negotiate settlements and mediated agreements where appropriate Coordinate with attorneys and support staff on case strategy and deadlines Maintain compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements Communicate case status and strategy clearly with clients throughout representation
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and JD required Must be licensed by the Texas State Bar Comfortable and confident appearing in court; courtroom or trial experience strongly preferred Family law experience preferred but not required for the right candidate Strong written and oral advocacy skills Reliable transportation and ability to travel between courthouses and firm offices as needed Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently while meeting court deadlines

Starting Salary:
