Experience:
3 to 5 years of substantial patent litigation experience (managing discovery, drafting/arguing motions, taking/defending depositions, preparing witnesses, supporting trial teams).
Technical Background:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Small Molecules, or a closely related discipline.

Position Overview The firm is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate with a strong chemical background to join its renowned Chemical Practice Group in Atlanta, Reston, or Washington, DC. In this role, you will play a key part in high-profile litigation involving cutting-edge chemical, materials, and life sciences technologies. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of fact and expert discovery. Draft and argue substantive motions before federal tribunals. Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses for trial, and support courtroom trial teams. Develop strategic, business-oriented litigation plans for complex patent disputes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary litigation teams to defend and enforce critical IP assets.
Preferred Qualifications Advanced Degree:
M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field.
Specialized Litigation Experience:
Exposure to matters involving small molecules, polymers, or life sciences technologies.
Credentials:
USPTO registration is a plus (not required).

Compensation & Benefits Base Salary Range:
$260,000
- $365,000 annually (commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location).
