About Us The Women's Freedom Center is a survivor advocacy organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, stalking, and related crimes. We offer a 24-hour hotline, advocacy, and a range of community-based services rooted in survivor autonomy and trauma-informed care. About the Role The Legal Justice Advocate provides survivor-centered advocacy and support to survivors navigating family court, criminal court, and civil legal matters. This role is not an attorney position and does not involve providing legal advice. What You'll Do Provide survivor-centered advocacy, emotional support, and safety planning Share direct service responsibilities, including crisis line coverage and community outreach Offer information on protective orders, court processes, and related legal systems Accompany and support survivors through court proceedings and legal appointments Assist with court-related paperwork and documentation Build relationships with courts, law enforcement, attorneys, and community partners Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with agency and funder requirements What We're Looking For A genuine commitment to supporting survivors with compassion and respect Familiarity with trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy practices Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Comfort working with diverse populations and community partners Experience in advocacy, social services, legal systems, or a related field preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
