The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and case management skills. We're looking for someone with knowledge of the immigration court procedures and
USCIS FORMS.
This paralegal will participate in all aspects of our asylum office cases and court cases, including assisting in the management of client relationships, case review, analysis, preparation and filing family-based petitions. Responsibilities Analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications for filing with asylum office and the Immigration Court, when applicable. Translate Document from Mandarin to English. Communicate with clients and attorneys for the preparation of upcoming Master, Bond, and Individual hearings. Oversee status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems to meet both internal and external deadlines. Follow internal office procedures. Make regular updates to our case management system including client information, case tracking information, and client communications. Maintain electronic copy files and documents to support all immigration activity on behalf of clients. Ensure that clients are kept informed on the progress of their cases. Assist attorneys and other team members to manage caseload. Qualifications At least 1-2 years of Immigration Law experience. Bilingual (English/Mandarin) required. Previous experience with EOIR. Knowledge with Family-Based Petitions, asylum cases, Humanitarian, Citizenship, and other USCIS/asylum applications is highly preferred. Experience with Word, Excel, and pdf.
