We have more than 30 years of California practice. Work is hands-on. Files move. Deadlines are real. We need someone who can pick up a task, finish it cleanly, and keep the calendar honest. The Role You draft and organize work across our practice areas, run Clio (billing and calendar), keep Dropbox in order, serve documents, and sort PDFs into the right matter folders. You own follow-through so the attorneys can stay in the work. Everything you do is under the direction and supervision of an attorney. Responsibilities Draft, review, and finalize estate planning, probate, family law, and real estate documents for attorney review. Handle California state and local court filings, including county-specific procedures and hearing reservations. Send attorney 14-, 7-, and 3-day deadline reminders without being asked. Schedule mediations, depositions, hearings, and client consultations.

Assist with discovery:

propound requests, draft responses, organize production. Serve documents in firm matters and confirm service is complete and logged. Support deed recordation on real estate files. Categorize and sort PDFs into the correct Dropbox / matter folders. Keep naming consistent.

Run Clio billing:

time entries, invoices, and payment recording, as required. Do targeted legal and factual research. Write short memos on family law and probate issues as directed. Speak with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel in a professional, courteous way. Keep case files, billing records, and electronic databases accurate. Required Paralegal qualifications that meet California's requirements for the title: an ABA-approved paralegal program; a certificate or degree that included at least 24 semester units of law-related coursework; or a bachelor's degree plus at least a year of law-related experience under a supervising California attorney. Working knowledge of at least two of: trusts and estate planning, probate, real estate, family law, business matters. Proficiency in Clio. Proficiency in Dropbox for matter files and document organization. Clean drafting and proofreading. Clear written and spoken communication with clients, counsel, and the office. Preferred Prior paralegal work in a California small firm or solo practice. Familiarity with Riverside County Superior Court procedures and e-filing. Mortgage, title, or escrow experience for real estate files. Active California notary commission. Pay and Benefits $22-$33 per hour, depending on experience.
