$55,000 per year About the Role We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Legal Assistant to join our team in Windsor, Colorado. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with attorneys and clients and is confident managing legal documents, coordinating client matters, and keeping files, deadlines, and administrative tasks organized. Experience in estate planning, probate, trusts, elder law, or another area of law is preferred, but we are also open to a strong legal assistant with transferable experience and a willingness to learn. What You'll Do Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and the legal team. Prepare, revise, proofread, and organize legal documents, correspondence, and client materials. Assist with estate planning and related legal matters from intake through completion. Assist with preparation and organization of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and other legal documents. Coordinate client meetings, document signings, and follow-up communications. Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients regarding appointments, documents, case status, and next steps. Maintain accurate and well-organized electronic and physical client files. Track deadlines, appointments, outstanding documents, and follow-up items. Assist with probate and estate administration matters as needed. Prepare documents and materials for attorney review. Coordinate with clients, financial institutions, courts, and other third parties when appropriate. Enter and maintain accurate information in the firm's case management and document systems. Assist with billing, time entry, and other administrative tasks as needed. Protect confidential client information and maintain a high level of professionalism. Support attorneys and the broader team with additional legal and administrative projects as needed. What We're Looking For 2+ years of legal assistant or related administrative experience preferred. Experience in estate planning, probate, trusts, elder law, or another legal practice area is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading ability. Excellent organization and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple matters, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously. Comfortable communicating directly with clients in a professional and empathetic manner. Strong computer skills and ability to learn new legal technology and case-management systems. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and the legal team. High level of discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information. Previous experience working in a law firm is preferred but not required. The Ideal Candidate You are someone who takes ownership, follows through, and notices the details others might miss . You can manage a busy workload without losing track of deadlines, communicate clearly with clients, and anticipate what the attorney will need next. You are professional, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a client-facing environment. You also understand the importance of handling sensitive legal and personal information with discretion and care. Experience with estate planning is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who brings strong legal administrative skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
